LinkedIn, the social networking site set up for professionals took a while to grow and be among the ranks. However, the site now boasts of over 200 million members with 160 million active monthly users, an admirable figure.
The latest figures are from LinkedIn November user base and have been verified by the research organization comScore.
According to an LA Times report:
13 million new users have already registered with the site since November.
The figures spell good news for the company which is still far behind the likes of Facebook and Twitter when it comes to social networking. While in September the site had just 133 million monthly users, the increase to 160 in a short span indicates a growing need to network between professionals.
Also, LinkedIn’s new Job Finder app might have resulted in increased numbers with more people looking for better opportunities during the lean market period.
Whether LinkedIn manages to maintain this impressive figure is yet to be seen.
